AFFI receives ASAE award

The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI), McLean, Va., said its “Frozen. How Fresh Stays Fresh.” national consumer education and promotion campaign was named a 2015 "Power of A" Silver award winner by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

The campaign, launched in May 2014, is designed to promote increased appreciation and consumption of frozen foods by engaging consumers where they live, work and shop through national television, digital and print advertising, online engagement, influencer outreach and in-store and out-of-store retail promotion activities, AFFI said.

“AFFI is honored to receive ASAE’s 'Power of A' Silver award,” said Kraig Naasz, president and CEO, AFFI. “This first-of-its-kind national dialogue invites consumers to take a fresh look at frozen by conveying that freezing is simply nature’s pause button.”

ASAE’s “Power of A” Awards, the association’s highest honor, recognize the association community’s valuable contributions on the local, national and global levels. The “Power of A” Awards reward outstanding accomplishments of associations and industry professionals for their efforts to enrich lives, create a competitive workforce, prepare society for the future, drive innovation and make a better world, AFFI said.
