Acesur Celebrates New Virginia Production Facility

The new location gives the company access to three key ports and markets along the east coast of the U.S.

Suffolk, Va., government officials join officials from Acesur to celebrate the opening of the company's new production facility.

Olive oil supplier Acesur recently celebrated the opening of a new production facility in the Suffolk Industrial Park in Suffolk, Va.

The new facility handles the company’s bulk oil imports from Spain, Portugal, Tunisia and Greece. Since 1840, Acesur has been producing, packaging and marketing olive oil, exporting to more than 100 countries worldwide. The company controls the olive oil process from ground to bottle and offers products to retailers for private label programs.

“We are very excited to be part of the economic engine of Suffolk, Virginia, and look forward to growing our business and the local economy,” said Gonzalo Guillén, the company’s CEO. “There are three ports in Virginia and this site affords us easy access to both the northeast and southeast corridors.”

The new facility has 23,000 square feet of warehouse space, is fully racked and has seven receiving and shipping bays. Acesur also has various certifications including British Retail Consortium, Orthodox Union (OU) Kosher and QAI Organic
