2018 holiday sales best in six years

Retail sales in the U.S. for the 2018 holiday season were up more than 5 percent to more than $850 billion, according to data Mastercard released this year. Online sales also jumped more than 19 percent from last year, according to the report.

2018 was the best holiday retail season in the last six years.
