Marfood USA Continues Partnership to Support Deployed U.S. Troops
Marfood USA — a Taylor, Mich.-based manufacturer of national brand and store brand beef jerky — announced that through its Pemmican Brand Operation Gratitude promotion, the company made a sizable donation of Pemmican beef jerky to deployed U.S. troops for the second consecutive year.
For every bag of Pemmican 3.25-ounce Beef Jerky shoppers bought between Memorial Day and Independence Day, Marfood matched the purchase. In total, the company said it donated more than $20,000 worth of Pemmican Flex-Pack Beef Jerky to Operation Gratitude to include in care packages deployed to military personnel in the fourth quarter of the year.
Operation Gratitude is a volunteer-based organization that sends personal care packages and letters to U.S. Military Troops deployed in harms way, Marfood said. Its mission is to put a smile on a service members face and express the appreciation and support of the American people.
“Pemmican is excited that we were able to once again show our gratitude for our U.S. Troops,” said Nakia Watkins, marketing manager, Marfood. “We are grateful to have partner organizations such as Operation Gratitude to help Pemmican and its shoppers give back to the men and women who risk their lives for our freedom every day.”
