Little Lady Foods Announces Management Changes

After 30 years of leading Little Lady Foods from a startup to the company it is today, John and Dan Geocaris have decided to step down from the day-to-day management of the company. According to the company, the two men will retain their roles on the board of directors, continuing to support Little Lady Foods’ customer and growth efforts, and maintaining their ownership interest in the company.
Little Lady said it has initiated a search for a new CEO. The person chosen for this position will be responsible for all company activities and will report directly to the board of directors.
Additions to management team
Two members of the Crown organization, a longtime Little Lady investor, will join the management team, Little Lady noted, and will assume a more active role in ownership and management of Little Lady. Tanya Burnell will join as executive vice president, corporate strategy and marketing, and Keenan Johnston as director, corporate strategy. They will report to the board of directors until a new CEO is in place. Effective immediately, sales, marketing, quality and human resources will report to Burnell. Jim Sharwarko and Steve Kunkle will continue in their current roles, reporting directly to the board of directors as well.
During this interim period, prior to the start of the new CEO and for a sufficient transition period afterward, Dan and John will continue to work closely with the management team, Little Lady stated. They will focus their efforts on ensuring a smooth transition for all current customer relationships and new customer commercialization projects.
