ECRM acquired by BV Investment Partners
Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing (ECRM), a Solon, Ohio-based company known for its strategic events and promotional tracking and analysis in the consumer packaged goods industry, announced that BV Investment Partners has become its majority shareholder, beginning a strategic partnership that will drive the company’s growth within its current endeavors and help it expand into new areas.
With this transition, Mitch Bowlus — president and son of ECRM’s founder, the late Charlie Bowlus — is stepping down from his position, ECRM said.
“I will continue to be a significant shareholder and will be involved in the future strategic growth of the business but will be transitioning out of the day to day operations,” Bowlus stated. “With this, I am pleased to announce Greg Farrar as our new CEO.”
Farrar, formerly CEO of Trade Only Design Library (TODL), an online product research and specification library exclusively for interior designers, architects, and other trade professionals, is an innovative business-to-business media executive with a track record of successfully transforming and growing businesses, ECRM noted. Under his leadership, TODL’s professional membership grew by 50 percent, while its manufacturer library increased more than 60 percent. Before joining TODL, he served as president of Nielsen Business Media, a former division of New York-based Nielsen.
“This is about growing and serving our customers better. It’s about taking the opportunity to enter into markets we don’t currently serve yet,” Farrar said.
Bowlus explained that he is excited for ECRM’s new partnership with BV, and that it will help bring the company he built with his father into its next stage of growth.
“The executive team is very excited that we have found a seasoned senior leader who will undoubtedly help us propel the future growth of the company,” he said.
